Our favourite summer time videos of Elton's cool

I'm Still Standing - The video, directed by Russell Mulcahy, was shot in Cannes and Nice on the Côte d'Azur in France and features the colours of the French flag. Arlene Phillips, who choreographed the video and says her work on the video is one of her most proudest moments in her entire career. Can you spot Bruno Tonioli who appears as one of the dancers in the video.

Blue Eyes - The video was shot on very sunny day in Australia on Sydney's famous Bondi to Bronte walk. The white grand piano was positioned right in the middle of the turret. The song and video was in dedication to Elizabeth Taylor. In the UK the song reached No. 8, in the US, it went to No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, and spent two weeks at No. 1 on the AC chart where Elton has a record breaking 17 Number 1 Hits.

Cold As Christmas (In The Middle Of The Year) - This really is a summer song! despite having Christmas in the title if you listen to the lyrics. The single was a double A-side with Crystal and was Elton's fourth single release from the album Too Low For Zero, which was Elton’s seventeenth studio album. The song reached #33 in the UK charts during December 1983.

You can expect to hear many of the hits including the following:

Tiny Dancer - The song was originally released on Elton’s 1971 album ‘Madman Across the Water’ and was later released as a single in 1972 and is ranked No. 47 on the 2021 list of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.  The song did however have a resurgence when it was featured the film 'Almost Famous' where  the film and the song were perfectly matched.

I'm Still Standing - This single was taken from the 1983 album Too Low for Zero and was the second single released from the album in the UK and the first single released in the United States and became a big hit for Elton on both sides of the Atlantic, peaking at #1 in Canada and Switzerland, #4 in the UK and #12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Amazingly Elton never saw this song as a potential single when he recorded it.

Rocket Man - The song was originally released in 1972 as the lead single to Elton’s album Honky Château. The song first charted in the UK on 22 April, rising to No. 2 in the UK Singles Chart and No. 6 in the US Billboard Hot 100. The song has most recently featured on the single "Cold Heart (Pnau remix)" with Dua Lipa which draws from "Rocket Man" along with other songs by Elton.

Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me - Written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin the song was originally recorded in 1974 for Elton’s studio album Caribou and was released as a single that peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and reached number 16 on the UK Singles Chart.

The song also hit the charts in 1991 in a live cover version recorded as a duet between Elton and George Michael – who performed the song together for the first time at Live Aid in Wembley Stadium in July 1985

Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word - Recorded by Elton John and released in 1976, both as a single and as part of the Blue Moves album. It was John's second single released by The Rocket Record Company.

Bennie And The Jets - The song first appeared on the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album in 1973. This is another song that Elton never saw as a single and was set against releasing it as a single, believing it would fail. It was finally released as a single after it became the #1 song in the Detroit when it peaked at #1 on the US singles chart in 1974. In the US, it was certified Gold on 8 April 1974 and Platinum on 13 September 1995 by the RIAA, and had sold 2.8 million copies by August 1976.

Your Song - This was Elton’s first international Top 10 chart single. Following "Border Song" as the first album single, "Your Song" was released in the United States in October 1970 as the B-side to "Take Me to the Pilot". Both sides received airplay, but "Your Song" was preferred by disc jockeys and replaced "Take Me to the Pilot" as the A-side.

I Guess Thats's Why They Call it The Blues - This was the first single from Elton’s 17th studio album Too Low for Zero. In the United States, it became one of Elton's biggest hits of the 1980s, holding at #2 for four weeks on the Adult Contemporary chart, and reaching #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also features Stevie Wonder on harmonica.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - The title track on his 1973 album of the same name. Regarded by many as Elton’s  finest song ever. Rolling Stone listed the song at No. 390 of its 500 greatest songs of all time in 2010.
